Fenix Sol’s owner, Lovon Fausett, started in the foodservice industry with Spokane Stainless Products (SSP) in 1985 with 5 employees and a 5,000 sq ft shop manufacturing custom stainless. By 2005 SSP had two factories in Spokane and Batavia, OH with over 100 employees and 100,000 sq ft of production space.
SSP’s early success was driven by dealers in the Pacific NW including Smith & Green, Ed Don, and Bargreen’s. In addition to those dealers, SSP also worked with supermarket giants – including Safeway, Fred Meyers and Kroger.
Starting in the 1990’s, SSP added imported stainless products to their catalog. It was this blend of custom and stock product that enabled SSP to rapidly expand into national chain accounts including – but not limited to – Taco Del Mar, Panera Bread, McAllister’s Deli, Jack In The Box, Costco, and many others. In fact, SSP was the single source supplier for Starbucks worldwide.
In 2009, Lovon sold SSP to Elkay Foodservice.
In 2016, Lovon started Fenix Sol with a focus on import sinks, tables, shelves, and dish tables. Fenix Sol continues to supply West Coast dealers with stock product and was the supplier for ABC with their Centaur line through 2026 – shipping containers directly to their members like TriMark.
Two customers that have remained through the decades is Costco and Ecolab. Fenix Sol has provided everything from dish tables, to demonstration carts, to custom fabrication, to complete dish rooms.
